Position #1 - Sim Racing Lounge Manager:

The Racing Center Calgary is seeking an experienced, passionate, and dynamic Sim Racing Lounge Manager to oversee the daily operations of our state-of-the-art sim racing facility. Our lounge features 6-8 high-end sim racing rigs and the world-class Varjo XR-3 virtual reality goggles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, gaming, or entertainment industry management, and a deep understanding of sim racing and virtual reality technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the sim racing lounge, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable customer experience.
  • Hire, train, and supervise lounge staff, including scheduling, performance management, and ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
  • Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of sim racing equipment, liaising with technicians and suppliers as needed.
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract new customers and maintain a loyal client base.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of equipment, parts, and accessories.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations, safety guidelines, and company policies.
  • Manage lounge budget and financial reporting, including revenue projections, expenses, and profitability analysis.
  • Stay current on industry trends, new sim racing technologies, and gaming events to continuously improve the lounge experience.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in management, preferably within the gaming, entertainment, or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of sim racing and virtual reality technology.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse clientele.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
